Mexico: Dynamic behaviour tests on Metro Line 12

In 2014 Eurailtest was commissioned by SYSTRA to perform dynamic behaviour tests on Line 12 of Mexico’s metro system prior to the opening of the line. Clearly satisfied with the service rendered, SYSTRA again turned to Eurailtest for further tests of this kind.

DESCRIPTION

Tests were performed during the summer of 2015 on behalf of SNC (Sistema de Transporte Collectivo) in partnership with the rolling stock supplier CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) as part of the process of extending and renovating the line.

The Eurailtest and Railway Test Agency (AEF) “Line” and “Test and Measurement Laboratory” teams joined forces in performing measurements of railway dynamics in two curves. Throughout the process they were in constant contact with the Laboratory in Vitry-sur-Seine (AEF).

For Eurailtest, the contract in Mexico represented a major challenge, in particular since it involved carrying out tests on another continent, ensuring the complete safety of the infrastructure under difficult local conditions and managing and supervising from afar.
